CO₂ (carbon dioxide) extinguishes fire by reducing oxygen in the protected zone. It is colorless, odorless and non-conductive.
Systems operate at 60 bar. Due to asphyxiating effect, they are not recommended for continuously occupied rooms; they are effective in controlled / unoccupied areas.
